We, the members of Saint Brendan Parish ...

We believe that we are Church and that we have a common goal. As members of the one body of Christ, we see ourselves not merely as individuals striving to fulfill our role in life, but as a faith-community acting in unison.

As stewards of God's creation ...

We have chosen to place ourselves under the umbrella of Stewardship, which means that we recognize that all our gifts come from God to be used for the betterment of God's creation. We use the time, talent, and treasure provided by God to actively show our trust and dedication to serving others in the name of Christ.

Strive to work for the greater honor and glory of God ...

The motive behind all that we do is the greater honor and glory of God. We do not strive to work for our own glory, but to bring glory to God through our social and spiritual activities. We strive to bring our own parish family and others to an understanding and experience of the richness of the gift of faith which we have received.

In our families ...

The parish recognizes that families are central to God's creation. In light of this belief,we plan spiritual and social events in our parish which involve the total family or which have as their purpose, the improvement and care of family members. Our parish strives to act as a family of God, with concern for the health as well as the sick and homebound.

In our parish ...

As a parish, we worship together and share a common concern for our neighbor. Proper participation and instruction in Liturgy holds a central place in our parish, as does all forms of religious

education, from childhood to senior adulthood. Our social and spiritual activities enable parish members to meet each other and to celebrate the gifts we share in common.

And in our community ...

In striving to work for the greater honor and glory of God, we cannot look inward on ourselves, but we must look outward to the civic and cultural community in which we live. We reach out with special concern for the poor and needy of our community, and we strongly support all the activities of our community designed to improve the health and spirit of families and individuals. We celebrate with our community and respond to the needs of the community.
